Welcome
🤍
As a child, I learned to knit and crochet surrounded by women who were always making things by hand — sometimes out of necessity, sometimes simply because they loved it.
Both of my grandmothers knitted and crocheted, along with my great-grandmothers, my mother, and my aunts. Handmade things were always part of everyday life around me, and they shaped the way I see them today.
For years, I wanted to create a library of motifs and stitch patterns — a place people could return to for inspiration, ideas, and learning.
What I often missed online was a more systematic approach to crochet structures themselves. Many beautiful patterns exist, but they are usually shown only once, in one yarn, one color palette, or one finished project.
With Hesihia, I want to explore stitch patterns and motifs from multiple angles — showing how the same structure changes depending on yarn, texture, color placement, and repetition.
My goal is to gradually build a growing archive where stitches and motifs can be explored, compared, studied, and used as inspiration for new ideas.
I never really had enough time to fully dedicate myself to this idea before.
Thankfully, Hesihia is finally here.
Thank you for being here.
